Door and shifter locks

#1 Post by Ron Pihulak »

Does anyone know of a lock smith that can make a key for the shifter lock and can take apart the door locks?

Perhaps Tom Drummond of Wholesale California or Al Zim for the door locks. The shifter lock is tricky. Tony Euganeo is another possibility but inconsistent.

Tony did all my locks but as others will tell you, good work but tough to get a hold of and can take awhile

You may send the locks to us. We take them to a locksmith that I have been doing business since 1995. Some cars have the ignition lock keyed the same as the door locks. If that is the case send everything. Shifter locks have a propensity to fail. Do not be discouraged if your lock does. Locks that cannot be fixed will be returned to you no charge with the postage paid. Al Zim 1804 Reliance Parkway, Bedford, Texas 76021. 800.356.2964 This is a reply not an advertisement!

Not perceived as an ad at all, Al. Just quick response to a member's question. Thanks!

Hi Ron,
What do you mean by " take apart the door locks " ?

If you mean separate the lock mechanism from the door handle, here a link to a post that can be of interest.
