Once again I am looking for help on our 52(11438). the motor is actually a 53(P3126972). Tom Birch rebuilt the motor, the carbs and , made a wiring harness, A great local mechanic without much pre A experiance installed all the wiring, and motor, tuned it up and got it running well. I was in breakin and pretty cautious with the revs when the gastank started shedding gunk and it barely ran. We have repaired the tank and are trying to get it tuned for optimum. Mike really cleaned everything as a result of the bad gas.
It starts right up, idles beautifully, consistant compression all four cylinders, timing at idle 6/7 revs up to 30. Revving the right side carb has a consistant fog and failure to rev.
The distributer is a 383 all four plugs have a good spark.
I am looking for some good ideas to go forward.
I will post some pictures and a video of it running if I can figure that out.
Thanks
Mark

Starting circuit lever is not secured on drivers side. Is lever on passenger side in off position?

Set the timing to 34 degrees and see if it improves.

That would be set at 3000+ rpm of course. Set to 34 at idle wouldn’t end well.
