I am in Louisville, KY
Not sure what you want to see in the way of pictures but here are some from when I first remove the door latches.
The problem is with the driver side latch. It latches if you do it just right by pulling firmly on the door and the hanging handle at the same time.
Otherwise it doesn't latch all the way. I have tried adjusting it and have had other Porsche owners try adjusting it with no success.

It looks like the spring is broken. I would clean the heck out of the entire mechanism perhaps soaking it in Evaporust then hit the moving parts with a penetrant like Kroil then lube it. I use white grease. Then replace the spring which should have a plastic sleeve over it. Then work the latch assembly to make sure all the parts are freed up.

Here are some updated pictures. Replaced the spring but still does not latch as it should. It latches if you push it firmly from within about 2 inches of the body. If you just swing it closed from several inches only the first notch on the mechanism catches. If all the rubber seals are removed it closes fine so I keep thinking over time as they c

What I would do is first lube the moving parts on the latch. You may be right about the door seals. There was a previous thread about the differences in them.
