The speed rating on those spares is for the tire, not the wheel.

Mr. Karasawa,

I believe (not certain) that the wheel you refer to is a 15" X 5.5" space saver produced for 944's (1982 to 1985) and some other vehicles. The wheel is listed on pages 170 and 171 of the Porsche PET entitled Type 944 from model year 1982 to 1985. I am not sure that the offset of that wheel is compatible with 356C Porsches.

The tire size used is clearly visible in this photo:

You might want to contact some of the Porsche parts vendors who offer the wheel online (there are a number of them).

I hope that helps a bit.

Thanks for your fast answer.
Now I know it is a 5.5 x 15 , the missing spec is the offset, ET or backspace.

The 15" (16 round hole) wheel specs are:

Rim: 5-Bolt / 5.5J (5 1/2 Inch Wide) X 15 Inch Diameter
Bolt Pattern: 5 x 5.12" or 5 x 130MM (Std. Early Porsche Disc Brake)
Material: One Piece Forged / Aluminum Alloy
Offset: 30MM

I believe I have the specs for the 16" (10 round hole) wheel somewhere, will post if I can find it.

(sorry I am so blunt). Most 356 guys have SUCCUMBED to the 944 jack! If it was good enough for Porsche that is all I need to know. Zim's (actually me) always throws those jacks away because they are flimsy. Spend 20 bucks at northern tool It will be more jack then you will ever need. ALSO YOU SHOULD CARRY a 1/2 inch piece of plywood to place under the jack so it remains stable. al You do not want to experience a car falling into the mud.
Al, you used to advertise those jacks as something special. I own one, and I bought it from you due to your recommendations. Should I return it?

If you look at HUGO'S wheel 4 Post up on this list you will see that the finish is not as smooth as it is on a forged wheel. I.E. this is a cast wheel. While there claims about the durability of the spare wheel I do not believe it was ever designed to (for instance) outlast a 356 steel wheel, especially in a crash. zim

That was unexpected. Normally everything on the 356 is 60 years old and worn beyond safe use. Now it is the opposite.
