#1 Post by Adam Wright »

This thing is cool, everyone should show this to their significant other, just in time for the holidays!

Jim, this bag would be a step up for me, I normally use Holiday bags on my roadtrips.

Touring bag or tool bag? Sorry - overpriced, and looks sort of small and silly. How about the $6.99 version at Harbor Freight?

I get mine down at the feed store. Price is right and the supply is endless.

A present from the missus.
I was a little concerned about clearance with the brake fluid reservoir in the boot but it fits well.

Wow that's nice!

For those of us on a lower budget I found this after much searching for something similar to the original 356 soft luggage mentioned in some other threads. It's not a perfect match but is close and looks fairly period correct.

I remember years ago when there were so many Porsche accessories out there that were diverse and all reasonably priced that everyone would be rich with them and show their enthusiasm. THEN the Porsche attorneys stepped in and shut everyone down. It was debilitating for many (like poor Marge at Automotion). NOW there are few accessories, all overpriced, and cheap with no attention paid to inventiveness, and then Porsche cuts the supply out of the blue. A hat with a Porsche crest for 35.00? absurd

George, you make me wish I had bought up a bunch of those trinkets that were being sold with Porsche logos. eBay has some for lots of money. There were about 7 Porsche parts accessory shops in the SF Bay Area, and another 10-12 in So Cal. Always made a shopping trip to he shops a few times a year. It was long before internet, there were nice catalogs, vendor displays at the swap meets, and at the various Porsche events.

Vincent showed is plaid bag, nice find. I found one on eBay last year for like $29, 18" X 12"X 11", Chinese made, seller from So Cal. perfect for the trunk of the 911.

For the 356 I have had a plaid "train case" to hold all of my tools and spare parts, found it about 30 years ago at a flea market. Once in a while they show up on eBay. I need to find a new one as mine has been beat a little, but still zips shut.

Search "paid suitcase" on eBay. I've found some neat stuff there.
