November 5th 356 Meet up, Museum Tour and Lunch
In place of the normal monthly 356 Breakfast at Jack’s in Newark, the 356CAR and Friends will have a private viewing and tour of Mark Merrill’s Car Museum. While the emphasis is on Vintage VWs, there are a few 356s and 912s, and Vintage Race Cars in the collection. The history of VW and subsequently Porsche is well represented, from Pre-WWII up to 70’s. There is a complete restoration and engine shop, building vintage as well as race motors. Memorabilia, toys and more.
This is a Rain or Shine event. To maintain some privacy of the Museum’s location we will only give out the address and instructions at the morning meetup point.

Meet at 9:30am. Starbucks and 7-11 parking lot located on Pear Ave, just south of N. Shoreline Blvd, and is two blocks north of the 101. Will leave at 10am sharp, a short drive the the Museum.

Take 101 to Mt View, Exit Shoreline Blvd: 101 from the South (San Jose/Highway 237) Exit #399A, then go right onto N. Shoreline, If on #85 Exit 24C. Shoreline Blvd. Go right onto N. Shoreline Blvd. 101 from the North, Exit #399, go left onto N. Shoreline crossing 101
Continue on N. Shoreline about 1-1/2 blocks, Right onto Pear, 200’ then left into parking lot.
After the tour and social time we will head for an optional lunch, at the SPORTS PAGE nearby, It is a standard Sports Bar and Garden, good Pub Grub, beers and other delights.
