1955 1300 carb linkage

#1 Post by Mike Hechinger »

Hi,

I bought engine number 22214 15 years ago. It is from an early 1955 car. Now I am installing it and there appear to be problems. There is a recessed area in the fan housing on the right (cyl. 1 and 2) side near the carb. It doesn’t appear to be needed. However, on the left side there is no room for the accelerator pump arm to operate. Something may have been incorrectly assembled by the PO. Maybe I am just not understanding how it is assembled. I need an exploded drawing of this engine or pictures to help me.

Thanks for your response,
Mike Hechinger

CJ,

I will try to get pics to appear. I am not very good at this new fanged stuff.

TX,
Mike

I also do not excel at spelling dangled (tangled) (fangled). I really just did this without trying to be funny.
