I guess the answer is--how much do you want to spend?

If you have a full flow oil filter that mounts on the oil pump the some exhaust systems cannot be used because the collector apparatus interferes wit the oil pump.

Hmmm, I like this, wonder if it will fit with the Full FLow, and if there is a video on how it sounds..

Bill and Cliff: You can fly into D/FW airport I can pick you up and bring you to the shop it is a 15 minute drive. You can examine a 356 engine with a Bursch stainless prototype exhaust system and shop us how to install the full flow oil filter that bolts to the oil pump. That will take about 10 minutes for you to realize it WILL NOT WORK! a 15 minute drive back to the D/FW airport and you can be on the next plane that takes you home. OR you can hang around and pester me for the rest of the day and I will purchase a dinner of your choice for you. al zim 800.356.2964

I know John Willhoit dyno'd this system about a month ago on one of his 2.2 engines. I recall that it made the same or a little more power than the stock exhaust but John said it was pretty loud.

I thought that those small mufflers would be loud. Some people won't care. Now we have to get a decibel meter and test all of the cars at the next large 356 event.

Al, A simple No it won't fit with Full Flow would be enough, but like Cliff i'd be up for a free dinner..
It does look sharp on that car, thanks for the picture Steve, But not not into very loud, Wonder how sounds,dB, compared to Sebring
 Thanks,
Bill

You can, I used one to compare tire noise differences on my wife's Lexus before and after new tires were purchased. The new ones were noisier than the OEM but about $200 each cheaper. The radio volume solved the difference.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

Another option is the Stoddard stainless system https://www.stoddard.com/nla11101005ss.html On my 2.2 motor it made more HP and torque than stock all the way up to 5300 rpm. Gains were in the 5% range from 3500 to 4500 rpm, after 5300 rpm the Stoddard system fell off and lost about 1%. Not sure if there are any issues with fitment to the funnels that others have reported as I haven't installed the motor yet. This isn't a concern for me since I've deleted the bumper guards and plan to add tips to exit out the valance cut outs.

A simple NO is not a correct answer. For me it is important that the customer (reader) know exactly how we have obtained our information. As you would with a micrometer to measure a crankshaft or a valve stem.
A Decibel meter app is on my ATT phone.
BILL AND CLIFF: If you would write and publish and article in the Registry about exhausts, I might stand for your Southwest flight to FT. Worth and a BBQ dinner. al

After one eight hour drive with a legal but loud exhaust I was cured for life. It’s not always about being legal.
