Helical leak path prevention

This comes up often enough regarding fitting Sump Plates, but it applies to any stud/nut fitting with oil on the other side.
Machine threads are not full-contact and while thread locker really does work, it needs to end up where it can do its job and not get shattered by the tightening torque. Ideally, the fasteners are cleaned, fitted with the locker and pre-loaded to the in-use direction, allowing the locker to collect on the side where it will not be damaged in use:
