Re: stupid questions door
Not all 356A doors will fit. Any T2 356A (1958/1959 Year model) door will fit a later car, though. 356A T2 and 356B T5 doors are made from virtually the pressings. Of course, the T5 doors have an added piece to hold the T5B vent window.
Regards
Jim

Re: stupid questions door
Jim, thanks for the reaction, does it mean if I buy the A trim (frame of the window) it will fit my BT5 .. I love the shape without the extra window......

Re: stupid questions door
It's not quite that simple. You will have to remove some metal below where the vent window sits. It could be done, though. The window regulators are the same, too.Helge Tielker wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 3:41 pm Jim, thanks for the reaction, does it mean if I buy the A trim (frame of the window) it will fit my BT5 .. Re: stupid questions door
With other words, 2 AT2 doors is much easier and keep the original ones for later (for a purist if necessary to rebuilt to original specs.)

Re: stupid questions door
Easier but not. Making a pair of doors off another car will probably require painting the whole car to make it nice. Getting the gaps right is far beyond an adjustment.
