Ok. With recent announcement that a 5 speed conversion kit (uses 356 transaxle) is going to happen for real, next cool tag will be something like this:
5 SPEED
5SPD356
4 SPD+1
5 ENVY

Although the Leon C. Felton plate surround could not have been original to my Speedster, because he didn't start selling new Porsches until a few years later, I pretend someone bought it used off of his VW lot.
Some previous owner got the "56" plate although the car is really a '57. I think because some publications list this chassis number as a 1956 car but the COA says it's a '57, delivered on Feb. 2, 1957.
BTW, this is an ex-Lukes and Shorman race car. If you are a Bay Area 356'er, you'll have heard of this great old shop.

Not 356 related, but I made this for my brother out of my pile of plates. His stand up paddle race team is called the Hobo Squad. From the state of Forforalifliforca. J

I see this one in many posts. I have included two pictures taken about 18 years apart. I think there is a subliminal message afoot.

In Feb 19 issue of Panorama, page 33 has a painting by Kelly Telfer of a sharp turbo 911 with tag “ULT TOY”. Cool car and cool tag!
