Google map says 46 miles and 50 min, Uniondale to Thornwood. The Whitestone is a pretty suspension bridge. How bad is that? I remember it as a nice if somewhat boring drive. The New London Ferrey from Orient Point was also a fun ride. :D The drive up to Riedelbauer should be pretty good.

Beautiful car! The most important checks would be the stering coupler and brakes. Those are vital to your life and limb. An engine related breakdown just means gatting a tow home, rarely thratening.
Enjoy the Catskill event! We can’t attend this year but have in the past. My regards to Cliff.

It is generally a little faster at 1:30 AM Eastern Time :)

The drive wouldn't be bad if the roads weren't full of potholes and it wasn't busy. Unfortunately, it usually is busy.

Hello my fellow 356ers this car has been thoroughly gone through and documented ,every mechanical nook and cranny has been inspected ,removed and reinstalled with cleaning of all original hardware and proper fastener lubricants on all inspected cleaned or repaired to factory specifications components, with German parts,from front to rear !.all suspension rubber parts replaced with German replacement parts ,all brake parts such as newly relined brake shoes with semi-metallic linner material,all brake hoses replaced with German replacements,original steal brake lines were pressure tested to 2600 psi with a porta power and a “T” fitting,held pressure for 24 hours with no drop in psi ,wheel cylinders and master are original to the car rebuilt with German parts front wheel bearing cleaned and inspected ,and repacked with heavy duty German grease then installed NOS Porsche grease seals ,safty and reliability is my GOAL with preservation in mind .New Michelin radial tires mounted on date coded wheels original to the car ,with new tire valves. i’m sure I mentioned it before engine is rebuilt to factory specifications, transmissions resealed as well with new outer axle bearings and seals all German products. just came back from a 356 registry meet up at Catskill Mountain area. Car cruises great at 70 mph ..,800 mile ride ,Very nicely organized by Chris ! Great trip! Great people! great time! thanks for viewing. Any and all input is always greatly appreciated!
