Speedster Spare Tire Belt Mk3

#1 Post by Drew Saunders »

Hi Guys
I can’t believe it’s been 4 years since I shipped my last tire belt, what with covid, too many 356 projects and the supply of components drying up I put the idea of another run on the back burner.
BUT the tire belt guy is back and with a new and improved Mk3 version.

So I have finally secured a quantity of original German wartime metal tips, some German military olive drab 100% cotton webbing and the holy grail, steel buckles.
After studying original belt pictures it is clear that the buckles were steel and not aluminium as per my first two versions.
So I have managed to source nickel plated steel buckles produced to DIN 5291 from a German supplier (these buckles will eventually tarnish and rust just like the originals).
So now the bad news….every component I have sourced has increased in price so the cost per belt will have to up.

Please see my advert in the classifieds Cost per Belt is $299 including international shipping.

Regards
Drew
