How To Tie a 356sc To A Trailer….

#1 Post by Michael Pawelek »

It’s one of those things. Three tablespoons too much and two tabledpoons too little.

I recall a previous thread on securing a 356 to a trailer.

Why is this thread reminiscent of a bad Fellini movie?

Fettuccine Movie? I love Fettuccine. Especially Fettuccine Alfredo! Where is it playing?

To actually answer your question, straps around the front lower torsion bar tube is good, and around the rear axle tubes where you have to go under the brake lines. Or maybe the trailer has those strap things that wrap around the tires.

Axel strap thru trans hoop connected to tie-downs. Stay away from the axel tubes due to high risk of collateral damage.

I'm laughing because future searchers of this topic will be amused at the comments.

My preference has always been to use wheel straps, thus letting the suspension on the 356 do its thing.
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.....
