Rudy,

You should call Larry who you visited not to long ago and ask him about the window frames and vent windows. He can help you out

Cliff,

I'm going to order a few blue paint samples and post them, it looks very different. It's a brighter color yet has a pastel look to it.

Cliff, these pictures are much closer to the true color, as you see it's not as bright as the paint booth photo.

Looks great Rudy! What did you end up deciding on for the interior?

Sean,

Most of the interior wasn't original so we ordered all new interior. They just finished it this week, we are giving the paint a couple weeks to cure. Next Friday we should start putting her back together.

+1 Bob. Rudy, just curious, where did you end up getting the interior from? I see it has the little vent holes as original and looks very nice.

We ended up going with Dorian from Autos International, Jules guided us as to the small details needed to make the car looks as original as possible. The pin holes were a must have!

Today we are taping up the frame to shoot the color matched red, just need to verify if the clear is 70% semi-gloss or matt. Left originality book at home. Should take most of the day to prep it.

I believe it is 70% Simi gloss (ie a non glossy satin).

I know nothing about painting. Are you saying that there is a clear over the red or is it mixed with the red? Based on my window frame(pics on page 4 post 56) I thought the red had a flattener in it and was just one coat. I may be misunderstanding.

Bill and Cliff, my understanding was the red was painted with a red base coat then a semi gloss clear coat applied. Should it actually be a single stage semi gloss or flat paint? Last week team wet sanded and buffed so hoping to get to it this week.
