2024 North Meets South Swap Meet

#1 Post by MarioManzo »

🏁 Get ready for an adrenaline-infused swap meet that's bound to rev your engines and ignite your passion for all things Porsche! Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 5th, because the annual North Meets South Swap Meet, hosted by the illustrious 356 CAR community, is back and better than ever. And this time, it's not just any meetup – it's the ultimate Porsche 356 swap meet extravaganza! (If nothing else, ChatGPT is stoked about this Swap Meet :D )

From rare vintage parts to exclusive memorabilia, the swap meet is your one-stop destination to find that elusive piece to complete your dream project or add the perfect touch to your beloved Porsche. It's not just about trading parts – it's about forging connections with fellow enthusiasts who share your undying love for these legendary machines. With the swap meet starting at the crack of dawn (7 am to 10 am) in the parking lot of the San Luis Obispo Embassy Suites, early birds will catch the worm and seize the opportunity to dive headfirst into the Porsche paradise that awaits.

So, gear up, Porsche aficionados! Whether you're on the hunt for treasures, eager to connect with fellow enthusiasts, or simply craving a potential free door prize (technically a parking lot prize), the North Meets South 2024 swap meet is where dreams are made and memories are forged. Don't miss out – please email me to let me know you're coming, anything I can help with. More to come in the next few weeks, looking forward to seeing everyone and swapping some parts. 🏎️💨

Hi Mario, I'm in, slowly getting stuff together for the swap, so far: a nice C travel Kit, some tools for tool kits, 3/4" drive torque wrench, Torque Dude (new), pair of late 60's euro headlights, early PCA Parade memorabilia (Monterey '62 and Santa Barbara '65) some other interesting decor, posters and such.

Can't fit my 356 stuff to sell in the Speedster. (What a great problem to have!)

Easy peasy, just build one of these. Plenty of storage space.

Until then, sound like you'll be a buyer...need those too. :D

Dan, you could always have Martine drive the other car?
That is a problem with swap meets at car events, no room. I have to take the truck this year to haul event things, but even then I can't bring big things to swap, as nobody can take them home. Another thing is that most of the folks coming to the North South don't do major work on their cars, they use shops to rebuild and repair, so mechanical parts don't sell.
The only "big items" I will be bringing are: pair of euro headlights, a wall clock made from an A hood, and a 500# torque wrench. Everything else will fit in a suit case of in the co-registrants lap
