You are invited to the
1st Highway 356 Reunion
Sept 19,20,21 2024
Tanglewood Deer Crossing Lodge, Helen, GA
Cost is $153.56 per person - 200 people max attendance!

We announced after 2021 we would retire the Helen Southern Drive & Mountain Party event after six very successful events. At the ECH, we spoke to many about a rethink concept for the event. The energy of the ECH event staff, the people & cars inspired us to get the band back together. We changed the paradigm based on observations from past events by both our team and previous attendees. So, our event is on again as a community style gathering & reunion of old friends.

We will post the link to our website and all event updates only on the Registry website Talk, under Events. The link will be up @1 January 24, to open registration. Registration closes 1 March 24 or 200 attendees sign up, whichever comes first. In the past our mountain party events sold out fast. Operators will be standing by for registration help. As always, we’re the same but different.

Go ahead and get your gang together now and book a multiple bedroom cabin on the mountain top or in town! Cabins generally are nearest to the event site on GA highway 356. Many excellent in town hotel options too, if that’s your preference. Here are a few links to familiarize you with the event area & many lodging facility options there. Don’t snooze! The Helen area books up fast as many events go on there, their big Oktoberfest is in the making, and it’s a big tourist spot as the fall leaves are turning then.

We all look forward to seeing you at the 1st Reunion on GA Highway 356. Be there or don’t come.

How many Highway 356's are there in the USA? Georgia, Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Florida, Maryland, New York, Tennessee and Virginia are those I found with a Google search. Canada has one on Prince Edward Island, and Japan has a National Highway 356.

Also included above are State Routes and similar names.

Anyone have more to add?

Anyone visited all of them?

Hi everyone.

We were not aware that there were conflicting computer generated event information data in the REGISTRY EVENTS page. For example, it had one which stated no registration required!

Thanks to the members who recently contacted us because they were confused. We found the point of confusion and edited the Registry Events page to ensure the correct information is in there now (all except no fees - which it would not edit). Cancellation notices were sent out to those who “registered “ or “reserved a space” thru that page, as they were invalid. Information on the Registry site Events page appears to be properly set now.

If you “registered” through Registry Events not our website, got a cancellation notice, or, if you want a confirmation that your already mailed in registration has been received by us, please contact Leonard at lsqndt@me.com

Registration is open. Our event website for registration and information is https://southavenuespeedshop.com/local- ... 356-drive/

Thanks,

George & Leonard

Hi all. Registrations are steadily coming in now after the holiday break. We will be at capacity before long. If you are considering coming, might want to register soon. You can always cancel by end of July if you need to. We’ll see you on Highway 356 this fall.

All the best, George & Crew.

Hi all, we have about 2 weeks before we close registration. We are filling up.Those who are still checking their long range calendars or just haven't gotten around to registering, please get your registrations in to us. When at capacity, we will start a stand-by list in the event of cancellations.

Thanks. See you on Highway 356 this fall.

George

PS, we had to make some adjustments in our process for varied reasons. We are going to send out event update and confirmations to all now after registration closes.

Thank you all for the huge number of folks that registered. We look forward to the event with y'all.

Even though Registration is officially closed, it was decided to allow the late deciders to sign up until May 1, since we still have a few available spaces. After that we are ordering shirts, badges, and committing to beer, wine, and food quantities.

The registrar will be sending confirmations shortly to all those registered as of 1 March.

Thanks. See ya on GA Highway 356 this fall. Check here and only here for the event update information.

Hi all. We are at capacity for another great event. Registration will close tomorrow, at midnight, April 5. Anything received after that will be returned, unless postmarked prior to then. Looks like 94 cars and lot of great folks. Thanks for your support.
