Wheel Color

#1 Post by Bob Soldani »

Hi all,
Does any one know the correct color for painting the wheels on my 64 356C? I would like to paint them with a spray can.

Thanks,

Stoddard sells a satin silver in lacquer. I think others may have used Krylon dull silver metallic with a coat of clear.

I'm not sure how correct the color, but I used SEM silver high heat engine paint on mine. Durable dull finish, very pleased with the results, almost have an alloy appearance:

I used Krylon silver on the Alfa wheels to the left. Clear-coated. They have yellowed and crazed after 15+ years, despite being almost entirely parked in the garage.

Thanks for the responses. I think I will try the Krylon.
