.
Lots of nice detail pictures of reportedly original (except a torsion bar cover) 31k miles '58 Coupe 102648 on the Gooding & Co web-site

Anyone know if the 'Wird eingefahren!' - 'Being run-in!' rear window sticker is German market only, factory / dealer / owner?

Cool car and no doubt super original but it is missing the seals under the rear bumper guards and the window winders are from a T1.
Jules

Water pumps are for windshield washers only.

Sold for $230k, $258k with buyer's premium (est. $250 - $325k). Looks like the market saw through the missing torsion bar cover and other details and surmised it was the real deal. Strong money by today's standards but no pushrod A Coupe record

Great car ride indeed. I was offered this car late last year. Supposedly I had first shot. Within a day Peter Kumar came in and bought all three of the cars the seller was offering. The original seller valued it higher than the auction price.
