Parts needed for a BT5

#1 Post by Helge Tielker »

Hey guys, a friend of ours is restoring his BT5 for almost 7 long years, between work and family - ups and downs - and now it is on its way to get painted (still not rolling as crucial parts still missing)

Here is the car - when he started - I am sure most of us would never started or are probably not even capable to do (at least I am not!)

as he came so far I am asking for your support to find some spare parts for reasonable prices (he is situated in Denmark) for him ...

he has a 1960 60 hp engine with the car and the last parts he bought were:
- drum brakes front and back (US)
- spindels front (Holland)
- a year correct transmission (Germany)

As for now I know what he is looking for:

swaybar complete
front & rear shocks
high and low horn
a set of doorhandels
right chrome window frame for the door and window
2 single flapper boxes
2 heatexchangers on exhaust
generator
distributor
front window complete

I started to sort out my parts in the garage, but it is to an easy job - Porsche, Peugeot 304 Cabrio and different Volkswagen Polo parts all in boxes and different spaces ... I was able to give him already some of my spare sheetmetal parts, I know I have a distributor as well ... and probably more ..... However ... hints and fair prices are highly appreciated .....

Quite a job. I hope the rear torsion tube has always been in place, although I don’t see it.
