Stork Capillary tube standoff

#1 Post by Bob Goldman »

Anyone know where I could find, buy, or get the measurements of the standoff that goes in the engine compartment right side that holds up the Stork capillary tube to the dipstick. I've searched most of the usual sources and some European ones with no luck. Can't even find a part number for the part. A picture of the bracket:

I believe the reason there is no part number is that the bracket is considered part of the gauge. (If you ordered a gauge the bracket came with it). Years ago I took measurements of a bracket and tried to make a couple, will see if I can find the dimensions>

Thank you Alan. I figured I would have to make one. Measurements would be very helpful.

Here are some measurements I took a while ago. The material is 1 mm thick steel.

Thank you all very much. I will try Robert Brocker and if that does not work, I have the info needed to make one. Once again, the registry members have come through with a great collective knowledge of these cars.
