Pictures of 356A body mounted Fog Lights
I'm looking for pictures or directions for the installation of the Factory Body Mounted Fog Lights. I have a hole template from an original car, but I don't have any pictures or diagrams regarding how the lights mount to the body or sub structure.
Can anybody help?

Re: Pictures of 356A body mounted Fog Lights
John,
The attached picture is from a pre-a car but I dont see why it could not apply to an "A" car. The bracket is in an "S" shape and attached to the internal structure of the car, the threads from the foglight feeds through it and is attached by the nut on the fog.
We re-enforced the hole opening for more support hence the large metal circle. Once the body and paint work was completed we used a "U" shaped instrument rubber gasket between the paint and foglight to give a nice finished look.
Hope this helps!

Eric, those brackets were never used by the factory to mount the body mount lights. The brackets shown by Victor are the ones used till the end of T-2 production

Great Eric, thanks. I'd hate to see someone pay a lot of $$ for the wrong brackets.

John. W., I have a template to locate the holes, and proper hole shape. Yes, the A and Pre - A are the same.

Re: Pictures of 356A body mounted Fog Lights
John,
The body shop which does my work is working on a 57A. The original front pannel had holes in the correct position, welded up. That nose was replaced, but in the place behind the holes brackets like the ones in Victor's first picture appeared. The new nose is not going to have the fog lights but I wonder if they are available, and how they were mounted to the bracket? I had envisioned a formed body painted cup behind the light with a small hole at the bottom in line with a horizontal bracket. (the ones on the car were verticle, but i had assumed that they were just bent out of the way.) How was it done? Did Porsche just cut a big round hole?
Harlan
