I spent a lot of time with P.Long at this weekends Amelia. When I was at the Rolex 24 he said it is perhaps the best location to date. More room, cool venue. This weekend he said the clues are out there and yes, Mike W. you are correct, it definitely helps build the hype of Luft. I may have to drive out from the East Coast.

There is also vintage racing happening right up the road at Sears Point if you want to make a weekend out of it. https://svra.com/events/2023-sonoma-speedtour/

I don't think a race track is cool enough from a pictoral stand point. I'm guessing its on the water in the Bay area that has a great vibe for photography.

The applications for cars is now active, $10 fee and then you can get to the submission form. https://luftgekuhlt.com/blogs/events/luft-9
The location is confirmed to be Mare Island Navy Shipyard in Vallejo.

What a great event. So much bigger than I thought it would be. So many cars. I saw Alan Klingen from the Stable for the first time in a few years. Also met Bartz Schneider of Marketwatch fame, and he was nice enough to not point out the several dozen things that are wrong/not original on my car. :D J

What's the one that looks like a cross between a Kaiser Darrin and a 356 Continental? Here's another (less elegant) photo of it.
