Like to mention, Guido has done great service in 4 weeks.
The 1958 S/R coupe Reutter certificate of production arrived.
Thank you, Guido.

Ibrahim, I noticed the key codes for the doors and ignition are different, I thought that T-2 cars had ignition and door keyed alike? Great information, more in depth than the Kardex, which someday in the future may become lost.

Hi Steve,
Good eyes...I too was surprised to see in this 1/23/1958 build T2 had still 57 items....So, this tells us ...Porsche did not waste even a dash badge.
Here are the both factory original keys ( One is really worn out :) )
Dash still has the original black factory paint.

My '58 cab has a Dec.23,1957 build date, but does not have the numbers on the Oil Guage.
Is the build date on this one earlier?

With the start of the T-2 cars the oil temperature gauge was suppose to be void of numbers. al

Spike,
My original seats date code 11/57
As certificate records 102700 delivered to Porsche 1/23/1958
I wonder if the Sunroof by Golde took time ,therefore we have T1 parts....

That might be one explanation. One other might be that as we all know, Porsche at that time was "consistently inconsistent".
Al, my T2 cab has the badge, as did my '56 coupe.
