Karmann hardtop with landau sliding sunroof

#1 Post by Kelly Reynolds »

I'm pretty new to the community and have enjoyed 356's since the early 70's with a special love (I admit) for the Karmann hardtop.
Wondering if any of you saw the sale post on e-bay of a 61 notch with a landau style roof and a sliding accordion sunroof?
Can anyone offer any information on that particular configuration?

It is a standard notch somebody installed a folding roof in at one point or another. Not a factory option. There are a few notchbacks with a metal sunroof and even fewer with a power sunroof. Very rare.

I've heard it called a California rag top. I saw one on a coupe and a lot of VW bugs.
