Re: engine vent covers
Looks like the frame is from a stock grill. The mesh is probably available from McMaster Carr and others.

I think you’d be on your own to get one fabricated.

I think that small a mesh screen would seriously effect the air passage. I was researching McMaster for something similiar to use for a front mounted oil cooler and they give the % air flow for most of their screens. Its amazing how restrictive even a 1/4 inch mesh can be.

Actually, the temperature in this SoCal car hasn’t seen any significant variation from the stock oil temp.Jim Hohensee wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 5:22 pm I think that small a mesh screen would seriously effect the air passage. I would think the louvers would make up for any difference in the screen's airflow. Very nice look!jim nelson wrote: ↑Sun Mar 19, 2023 12:29 pmActually, the temperature in this SoCal car hasn’t seen any significant variation from the stock oil temp.Jim Hohensee wrote: ↑Thu Mar 09, 2023 5:22 pm I think that small a mesh screen would seriously effect the air passage.
