That's not a Beetle.

This is a Beetle.

Might be fat, but it can easily get out of it's own way.

I'll take you for a ride at Litchfield. I'll be camping the night before.

Sometime back, on his show, Jay Leno described a jet engined motorcycle in his collection:

He said he tries to warn people not to get too close, but inevitably people do, and their plastic bumpers melt. Wonder what this car would do?

The difference is that Jay actually drives his bike occasionally on the street.

That Beetle with the jet engine is a show novelty.

VW-4 cam?

To quote a recent Porsche ad, "Holy Schmoley!"

I'm seeing a twin-distributor in there, 90-degree type, "wide" Webers, twin coils. This is a Carrera 4-cam, is it? A Typ 692? Wow.

Though I guess there are bugs out there who can beat you with cubes, I'm sure there isn't a better sounding bug on the road. Sweet, sweet music.

Did I say, "Wow"? Wow.

356 gauges = $600
63 Beetle = $7000
4 Cam Carrera Engine = Priceless

Not a 4 cam, but it does have 200hp.
