Klasse356 Parts is under new ownership

#1 Post by Ed Rutherford »

Klasse356 Parts is now under new ownership.

After 15 years of owning and operating Klasse356 Parts, I have decided to step away from the parts business. It was a pretty easy decision because I’m not getting any younger. I’ve also had some very chilling reminders that life is not fair and is also quite fragile.

I also told myself when I bought the company, I wanted to last at least as long as the previous owner, which was 10 years. I made it an extra 5 years!
I’ll remain at the same physical location, still be involved in the Porsche community. I just want to finish my 3 cars that have been sitting patiently, waiting to be reassembled.

Also, over the last couple of years I have been getting more involved in caring for small car collections. It has led me to building an “app” called myegarage.com to help with the management of the cars. That process has been very rewarding and exciting.

The new owners will be located in Reno Nevada. They have not yet secured a “brick and mortar” location to operate from, so orders will be shipped from multiple locations. Their emphasis is to expand on Klasse’s existing catalog which will include 4-Cam and racing/performance parts.

I hope the new owners will receive the same support I was giving over the last 15 years, if so, they will be just as successful!

Thank you for all your support and more importantly, your friendship. That is worth more to me than any parts I ever sold!

I wish you the best in your next chapter, enjoy it. I hope your chilling reminders have left you in good health. I had one of those which has worked out pretty well.

Yep I am doing fine. When we lost Jessie Rodriquez a couple of months ago, that made the decision much easier.

Good luck on new ventures, tell the new owners if they want the old trailer back, they can't have it!

I wish Ed the best in his new endeavors, but I will miss the demise of another local resource.

Hi Ed, congratulations on keeping the business alive from its humble beginnings in Tim Berardelli's basement then expanding to an old horse barn. Good show, I know you worked hard at it. Enjoy retirement.

Adam think that trailer belonged to Marc & Jim when it was in Allentown. :-)

All the best, George

I got it from Jim a few years ago, he wanted it and all his parts gone, I made them gone. It makes for good storage now. Can you spot it?
