Booze in cars

#1 Post by John Wurner »

Hi
I know this is not 356 related, unless the Factory provided this for special cars.
I have a 1989 Speedster that I purchased from the family of the CEO of Porsche America.
He had the car since new, and in the compartment behind the front seat is a bottle of
spirits that has a pic of a speedster outline and the VIN of my car carved in to the glass.
One knowledgeable person suggested that was done for VIP's.
Anyone have info on this?
Thanks

Jon

There should have been a golf shirt in the matching interior color, with speedster on it in there also.

Hi John
Were they in all Speedsters?
I spoke with Jules, his family business purchased six Speedsters to sell and they did not have the spirits.

I ordered two 89 speedsters in 1989, one to keep and one to sell, no booze or golf shirts in either of them.
