Which Lug 19 mm Wrench is Correct for a 356

#1 Post by Peter Silten »

I have two identical looking 19mm lug wrenches. Which one is correct for the 356? The one that is marked 19mm or the one that is marked 19 m/m? Thanks.

I have seen quite a few of the 63 wrenches. I have not seen the slash. It looks like the wrench for the black 63 wrench . The difference in the angle of the socket looks to be the same as a 63. Other one is typical of the 64/65 and swb 911/912.

Thanks Tom, I think you are correct. The 19mm came out of a 65 911 toolkit. I guess that means that the 19 m/m is the one that goes with the 63 356 toolkit and is black.

This is an example of what I have come across. Note the weld bottom. This came from a original low mile 63. Also, the jack has the early spring on it. Perhaps they were using up stock.

The one in the middle is the 356 jack, is that correct? Or are both of the black jacks "correct" for the 356?

both black handles came from low mile cars. The one with welded ring was from a California cab . I forgot exactly where the middle one came from. I have done too many of them and did not do notes, just pics.

This is a photo of the lug wrench shown on 356tools.com. That is the one marked 19m/m.

Adding another data point--I just verified the lug wrench from my brother's long-departed '63 is stamped 19m/m
