Sorry, I misunderstood. Yes, definitely nuts over washers.

I'd sure like to understand the COA entry as well.

I have that corner version (formed plate with welded nut) on all my 356s. That is the stock location on 356Cs.
The Super 90 supplement to the B Workshop manual gives a dimensioned drawing for a shoulder belt anchor for a 3 point seat belt. It is just under the trim rail and quite far back on the side wall.

Helge Pretty much covered but here is a link about a 60 seatbelt installation: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=49624&p=348413&hili ... ng#p348413 And if you are going to install a shoulder harness so that it is not too low a mounting point, as mentioned by Harlan, then this link will be helpful: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=51658&p=376365#p376365

As being built in december 1959 - I looked under the car and we have also the "xx degree" flattened area (will add a picture). Will try first to understand the picture given by Brian (Diagram from Autobooks manual by Kenneth Ball) and than proceed.
thanks to all for the information and knowledge shared.

PR Services in the UK supply the answers to your questions
www.prs356.com
Select Parts and then and then Just enter Seat Belts in the Search Box

Select the correct units for the rear Firewall Shape in your car
No welding required, just drilling – but DO NOT attempt to drill through the carpet the Drill will grab a thread and shred the Carpet

The bolts on mine peek out from under the bottom edge of the carpet, curling it back a bit. Probably not a proper installation of carpet, but no holes through it.
