Top frame mounts with rear cowl installed. Continuing the body line off of the cowl with an original open car decklid. Fortunately I had an original Speedster shell as continual reference as I went.

Tail skin final reassembled and tacked in. Most this section was cut back apart and reset to contour and flow correctly with the quarters. The lower apron was also to low and had to be raised. A lot of adjustments to get this all to fit.

Just like the rear it didn't just fall into place; a ton of nip and tucking required to get it all to fit and flow properly.

Just shy of 2,200 hours later we had viable Speedster bodied coupe chassis. This final post hit all the high spots but there was a ton of work and effort that into this car between these photos. If you'd like to see more details on all that went into building this car you can find the rest of this story here: https://forum.abcgt.com/forum/main-foru ... conversion
Thanks for looking!

Hi Greg, I hadn't checked in with him for over 2 years. I tried contacting right after seeing your post but with no response in the days that followed. Its very out of character for him not to return messages so I reached out to a mutual acquaintance. She informed me that he had suffered a catastrophic event shortly following his second booster; she assumes it was a stroke. So there is no telling what the future holds for this project car but I'm positive it is the least of his concerns at this point. I'll be sure to update if I hear anything more. Thanks for reminding me.

Justin
