Engine sheet metal changes.

#1 Post by ScottBerry »

When did the engine sheet metal change from no ribs to reinforcement ribs. I have a 1959/60 normal and not sure which is correct. Primary concern is finding good metal examples to refurbish but also trying to replace with period correct pieces.

The ones with the ribs are pretty scarce; don't know when they were used. Probably random, depending on the supplier.
I would stay with the smooth type.
