993 16”x5.5” spares

#1 Post by Jared Smith »

There must be a thread on this already but Iv done some digging and can’t find anything. I’ve got a set of 16” 993 spares that I am going to be putting in my 64c. I talked to a friend who has a set in his B and mentioned having to put 12mm spacers on the front. I haven’t tried fitting the wheels yet as I have some machining to do on them as well as powder coating and getting tires mounted. Does anyone have these wheeled on a 64c? If so, do you have any clearance issues? What tires are you running and did you need to put spacers on the front? Thanks in advance for any insight.

Hi Jared,

I believe all of your questions are covered in some detail in this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=50441&hilit=space+saver

Those wheels look great (IMHO) on 356's! I still have 10 or 11 of the 16" 10-hole space saver wheels I intend to sell (one of these days).

Perfect, I knew it had to be discussed in detail before. Thank you Bill!
