Not really, just an article about it, just wanted to grab your attention. May be a reason why some of the older ones amongst us seem so dumb.

Lead in gasoline again
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

Re: Lead in gasoline again
Thanks for the link. Now I finally have closure. The last time I had the Dr. add a lead test to routine bloodwork, it came back at the upper limit. I can quit blaming myself for being a lazy underachiever, taking 7 years to finish a 4 year degree, dropping out of grad school, procrastinating restoring my 58 A Coupe, etc.

Re: Lead in gasoline again
Glad to be of help Don, growing up in rural Wales I was subjected more to horse effluent and sheep farts until my years in the RAF when the exhaust gas was mostly from jet engines and that was lead free kerosene so my laziness and lack of cognitive ability was more genetic than from chemical absorbance except for the lead water pipes, though until the age of 10 I only drank well water.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

Re: Lead in gasoline again
My preferred method of chelation therapy is to flush it out of my system with copious quantities of fermented grains and hops in multiple pint increments.

Re: Lead in gasoline again
Don, from my matching education specs and car restoration schedule I need no blood test. I can accurately infer my lead level.

You don't have to worry. As you age, it will all settle in your butt. My wife keeps telling me to get the lead out.
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.....

Re: Lead in gasoline again
So, While we are talking 'Off Topic' from 356
I'm surprised the powers that be, were ever concerned about our health and development and high Lead levels in the past.
They certainly don't care now ! Do they? Or pretend to! wanting to fill us all with MRNA. Try removing that from your system, Don.
It seems that Lead was the least of our worries David.
Cheers Jay

"The average lead-linked loss in cognitive ability was 2.6 IQ points per person"
If only we could measure IQ with a precision that renders that figure meaningful.
"This amounted to a total loss of 824,097,690 IQ points, disproportionately endured by those born between 1951 and 1980."
Reparations!
