#1 Post by Dan Macdonald »

Guys,
i thought this was interesting. The video even includes what appears to be a Speedster.
Your thoughts?

Looked it up, if you are in So Cal it’s basically $4500 to have them pick it up, dip it, and bring it back. $2500 if you bring it and pick it up yourself.
A customer at the shop paid $2500 recently to have his 21 window bus sandblasted in and out, not counting the doors and rear hatch. And there is still sand everywhere. This looks like a much better option.

Dipping a body is a viable alternative to other options. Like other options it has it’s downsides. Any remaining materials that are missed will hold the acid or alkaline and leach out and damage your beautiful new paint. It works but the operator has to be meticulous. I am unsure if you can get to everything to clean it on a 356. Hopefully someone will know. FYI: There is a company in the Detroit area that dose a similar process and can even E Coat it for you. Dan are you any relation to Quin Epperly
