I didn’t have the details but no wonder I only drove an automatic for one out of the last forty-nine years. Thanks for the explanation

Is a tiptronic or an F1 paddle shift trans considered an automatic?

One of my favorite cars is my 99 Mercedes C43 AMG, but it had an auto gearbox. It was the only letdown of the car. So a few years ago I dropped a six speed manual in it, probably one of a dozen in the world, made all the difference!
