July 5, 1964, on the slopes of Mt. Baldy outside of Breckenridge, Colorado. Air got thin at about 12,000' above sea level, and so did the power in my first Porsche...a '57.

The first picture is of my 1960 Normal at Wilkerson Pass, Colorado in 1968. The other is my 911, the photo taken across the road from the first 12 years later. I wish I had both of them back. BTW, I traded in the 60 to a VW dealer in the Walnut Creek area in 1971. I'd love to know where it is currently. I didn't retain the Ser. # or license.

Also, the man I purchased the car from and had been responsible for the car for the last 35 years! ...And me shaking hands with him (with cut-offs and flip flops).
