Assembly exhaust

I want to install the exhaust to the engine...

I have several (6 to be exact) exhaust nuts that came from the engine and these are size 12mm, so I need 2 more

Here at Europe we can only buy the metric 13mm nuts.
I also see on the PET list that there are 4 flange's (number 6"" at the PET) at the drawings..

I've never seen these flanges....are they always mounted?

Anyone here have a source where to buy the 12mm nuts

If I recall correctly, the flanges were available separately possibly as repair pieces. Because only 4 gaskets are needed, it leads me to believe they were not used as spacers. If so, you'd need additional gaskets on either side of the flanges.

Hi Mike

That make sense indeed...
I was also wondered when I saw the drawings

So only in the need for 2 nut to make the set complete :-)

Bart, try a search on the internet, meanwhile here is a link to Amazon which does have a description of what to look for. You may want to try PRS in the UK for a supply.

Bart, if you are referring to the #8 nuts, eight are required. I use brass nuts (some use copper) and schrnor washers. I would follow David's advice. I consider him one of our resident experts.

I think Sierra Madre has the 8mm x 12mm exhaust nuts. They are copper plated and have a flange, so they don't look quite like the originals, but the originals are nla unless you have some in your parts bin.

Also Japanese cars typically use that size for all their 8mm bolt heads, although frequently theirs have an integral washer, nice but not original style.

Ordered ;-)

Choice is cupper nuts with the 12mm
I know, not original but easier to loosen after X-years :-)
