Does anyone have any tips or advice for installation of both seat rails and front seats for B T 5?I. I would like them to run smoothly and be easily adjustable,
Looking forward to your responses,
Kind regards

The rails on the tunnel are in a fixed position due to the screw holes. The outside rails have some adjustment like the T-6 rails. The main thing is to make sure the rails are parallel to each other and lubed. I use white grease.

The rails need to be equi-distant and co-planar. Yes Mike is right, that is the same as parallel, but a lot of people measure them front and back and don't check the co-planarity. Depending on the history of the car, if the floor was replaced or it was hit, you should check both. Use a precision level on each rail and check that they are the same, in addition to measuring front and back. I use wax for lube. Actually one of those lube sticks like you use for the door wedges. Grease attracts dirt so I don't recommend it for this application. Run the rail back and forth on the seat bottom to distribute the lube before installing.
