Funny storey Robert,
The restorer I purchased it from in 2018 chased up the original owners son ( dad had died ) and found all the engine ( in one piece) and seats etc sitting in the old mans barn . They had been separated around 1978 and been apart from chassis/body for 40 years....

Agree. The son had no idea how special it was to have re United the engine to its mother.

Great project Glenn. I love the XY and the Monaro in the background.
Where in Melbourne are you? I am in East Kew
Sold my Pre A sunroof last Christmas (regretting it of course) to a guy in Fairfield. Can put you in touch with him if you need a reference car

Thanks Rafik,
The photos in background are from the restorer that I bought my car from. My restorer is in Bayside area and he is currently doing a 1957 A coupe for me and has done many 356's over the years.

Cool car Glenn. Tell us more about it. Original spec, colors, etc?
If anyone can get this back into shape, it's Greg Newton. =)

Hi James,
I am actually getting my own restorer to complete the project. I bought it from Greg.
Spec is/will be original Granite Grey metallic tan inside. Matching engine ( Greg sourced it from deceased previous owners son ) Been in shed since 1978 and still turns over by hand. All upholstery been completed by Heritage and in my procession.
