Wondering if there is consensus on roll bars for a 356...while the car will not complete in competition i would like an extra margin of safety both for rollover and also more importantly for seat belt restraints ( thinking I could use the cross bar as a anchor pt for shoulder belts and maybe a head rest)
FYI I'm running Fibersteel's speedster seats with no headrest.
Does anyone recco the option from Autopower...it seems to be the most widely available with options for diagonal and cross bar.

Thanks in advance!

Not in a street car. Ask CJ he was rear ended. See entry #9 by CJ: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=41361&p=262622&hili ... ar#p262622

Argh..that’s not good! Even with padding on the roll bar it seems quite scary. Are 3pts even an option? Seen some b pillar set ups as well as shoulder reels mounted in the rear passenger compartment

You do not want to be the guinea pig finding the 'proper' design, and when the car ends up being sold, there will be costs involved.
My Speedster has a roll-bar - removable.

When I got the C, it had PEP (Professionally Engineered Products) 3-point belts; dunno if they are in business any longer as their insurance carrier probably gagged when they saw the products. It uses a flor-mounted VW retract with the belt fed through a 'bail' on the B-pillar clicking into buckles on the tunnel.Nedim Alexander Aruz wrote: ↑Mon Jul 12, 2021 6:11 pm Argh..that’s not good! Never did any sums, and a horse-back look says it's not up to Benz-level protection, but it will probably keep my chest from contacting the steering column in anything other than a freeway head-on.
