Gauge Bezel removal

#1 Post by Victor Ingram »

I have a gauge that is in great cosmetic condition but it has a small smudge on the inside of the glass....not sure how it got there.
Can anyone recommend who can remove the bezels for a quick cleaning?
North Hollywood and Alto could do it for sure but I don't quite need that expertise, I think?
thx

You should order a new bezel. Difficult to remove without damage to the bezel.

Remove the bezel with a small screwdriver/pick take your time but you won't reuse it.
I used a large socket to roll the new bezels on the gauges again slowly working around the back side .
The bezels are quite soft and roll easy and if rushed I am sure they could be messed up .
If I remember correctly I practiced with the old one rerolling on the gauge remove again and installed the new one.
They turned out about prefect.
