Huh? And you don't need all caps.

Let us try a translation shall we? My guess is, can I replace the shifter nosecone without dropping the engine?
My answer which was recently asked on this forum and can be found with a simple search is yes but it would be better to remove both engine and trans and replace shift seal, shifter lever and new gaskets. Do it right, it is a 20 year 50k plus mile event.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

Sorry, David, but I see no way to pull the nose piece off the trans without removing the engine.

Isn't James asking about the mounts?

I have done it Vic but as I say it is not recommended. It was 50 years ago and I had little choice. I also welded the shifter lever with a stick welder. BMM935A in the UK I think you are defunct.

Eric, surely that is not the question. Replacement of the mounts is an obvious task I would think.

You will never be defunct in my book Vic but my first 356 probably is. License plates in the UK stay with the car until it is scrapped.
