Hi
I would like to know if a 54 cab has the same sound deadening lining in the engine bay as a 1950 4 digit cab
Also, is the floor board shape and mounting system the seem as a 1950 cab?
Regards

Re: 1954 Cab
Floor boards are the same. Felt on the bottom of the wood risers.
Sound deadening might be a bit different. There's lots of photos on the site here for the 1954-55 padding. You can also see it pictured in the 1955 parts book. Of course bent-window cabriolets through May 1954 (through 60549) don't have padding in the engine bay. Just schutz.

Btw, do you have detailed photos of the 1950 padding for Reutter cabs? Not many of those cars exist, and even fewer have their original engine bay padding.

Re: 1954 Cab
I have some photos of a car restored by an early 356 expert so I would be confident it is correct
