My driver side door opened and closed perfectly until the interior was installed. Now it will not latch properly. The problem is intermittent which makes me wonder if the latch is the culprit. At times it latches easily. At other times you have to slam the door. Today it will not latch at all even though yesterday it did.
I have removed everything from inside the door - window, window frame, door panel, etc and cannot find the problem.
Can anyone recommend a place that can repair the door latch mechanism. Any and all suggestions welcomed.

Re: Door wont latch
check the cable for latch and make sure it will go through lock, neutral and open. See attached picture for where you can adjust the door cable.

Also if they used a new screw it maybe too long. See entry #2 here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=19586&p=87189&hilit ... ent#p87189

Re: Door wont latch
My mechanism doesn't have a cable. It has a steel bar. Photo attached.
I took everything off the door and it seems my problem might be the seal around the frame on the body. I am putting it back together without that to confirm.

Re: Door wont latch
I'm having that same problem with drivers side door, should the cable be tight or loose? Door latches when closed 'easily', but not when slammed.
Thanks in advance for info.

Re: Door wont latch
Check the latch on the door post to verify that it is adjusted properly.
Some days it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.....

Re: Door wont latch
I have adjusted that many times. Any advice as to how to tell when it is "adjusted properly"?

Re: Door wont latch
I am pretty convinced my problem is in the door latch itself. Does anybody repair them?
