Re: My 1963 356B Project
Not a week after saying I made the decision to not replace the spring, the #3 intake spring gave up the ghost. I guess I'm doing the ole engine pull shuffle again. I've ordered a full set of springs to replace, and will deal with it. Hopefully this is the last time I'll have to do this particular job.

Re: My 1963 356B Project
i have decided that my broken valve spring collection is of sufficient size. got the engine pulled, all valve springs replaced, and reinstalled. the engine is now happily running again. took it for a shake down in the heat of Texas summer with no surprises. been driving it daily since then.

Re: My 1963 356B Project is a good pie getter
I've been itching to take another day trip. Found a great reason. Me and the wife took a trip to Marble Falls, TX to the Blue Bonnet Cafe for some pie. This Cafe has been around since 1929. I couldn't tell you if the pie recipe is original, but I can sure vouch for the quality of a slice. Almost 100 miles round-trip, only issue was my temp sensor wire fell off causing some odd temperature readings.
