Those tabs are spot welded on I think. I just used a good contact cement but am unsure if the pads are still the same as 8 years ago when I did mine. You will need to trim them I am sure to fit properly. I have a friend who is an excellent photographer also who is redoing his wife's C which will be similar to to yours.Their car is a Karmann and he even reproduced the drain holes in his longitudinals to make it look correct for Karmann. Be aware that the Reutter and Karmann insulation was different if you want a show car. I think yours is probably a Ruetter?

Yeah mine's a Reutter and I just got the kit for T6 coupe's on Stoddard. Either way where I live there are no 356 concurses and less than 40 356's in the whole country, so as long as it looks good and drives good I'll be happy. Maybe welding is easier, I'm not sure but I will make a decision once my harness is fully restored and ready to be installed.

Thank you again!

If the current Stoddard insulation is like mine it will be grey and will absorb petrol fumes. Paint it by hand with Satin finish Rustoleum or similar. See Eric McKinley in Irelands excellent job here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=49698&p=349471&hili ... on#p349471

Thank you Doug, that exact post encouraged me to get the kit from Stoddard, it looks amazing. I will paint it black and post pictures once I figure out what would be the best way to install it. There is a high temp rust-oleum paint. Would that be better maybe?

Yes as long as it is Satin. Not Gloss

You’re doing a fantastic job on your 356B S90 restoration. When interior time comes, I make the proper recreated Reutter Headliner for your car. The material is color matched very light grey with the elongated Diamond hole perforation pattern. Contact me for more info if interested. best/Michael
