This is Lucky Number 7 (meaning my 7th 356 resto) and I plan on doing a "close to concours" Outlaw resto on this 1961 356B 1600 Super coupe. The car will end up being stock mechanical, lowered front and back with a possible disc brake and Fuchs conversion. Interior will be redone stock. Fundamentally, the body and pan are fairly solid (thanks to some undercoating in the distant past) but it does need a new hood. Currently, it is an ugly beast. The car was originally silver on blue and is currently painted ugly on uglier with a sea foam top coat over a blue middle coat over original silver. It will be media blasted back to metal and brought up from there. It needs all new rubber, new brakes, freshened engine (compression is good, thank goodness!), inner fender replacement metal and lots of TLC. Please help me make this a wonderful car again and vote for Lucky No. 7!

Very cool!

Advice for everyone who wants to enter this contest---post as many pictures as you can. Remember--we're trying to find the worst--so let's see that rust. Too bad you can't take pictures of smell :-)

Reminds me of my project when I got it - an old but very concealing coat of paint over a nightmare of rust.
