Ashley, My wife and I are up in the air about attending the meeting in France. We were registered for the meeting this year but we all know what happened there. Many plans had to be canceled with accompanying angst regarding refunds, which have all come through, BTW. At this point the future of international travel next year is uncertain and we can't muster enough enthusiasm to register at this point in time. If you haven't been to one yet they are splendid affairs where one can mingle with European friends met at previous Int'l meetings. We may go if things improve, and, if the event doesn't book up, but we'll make that decision in the future.

Bob

They took the full amount when I registered, so I hope there isn’t a problem. My understanding is that it was sold out within 24 hours, so it may be too late for you. Sorry I’ll be missing you.

Last year's was in Switzerland and the hotel only had accommodations for 100 so it sold out quickly. I think it was the year before in Britain you could not attend without a car so a lot of us weren't eligible thus we were looking forward to Germany this year as recompense for the previous situations. We did receive our souvenir's from the German club including our car badge which will be a one-off collectors item representing the only Int'l meeting that didn't happen. We felt so bad for their club as they had spent 3 year planning the event.

Man I missed seeing this. 3 hour drive from my place in France. I'm on the waiting list so we'll see.

We could exchange details and maybe meet up before I head home.

Sounds good. I wonder how many people are on the waiting list?

No idea or even where I read that it was a sell out, probably on the website or the U.K. Porsche Club.

Hello 356 community

I'm registered for the 46th International as well.
I hope this time it will take place.
For all who are interested in the International Meetings, I'm starting a youtube channel with great videos of rides, trade shows, reports of international Porsche 356 meetings
and general vintage car meetings. So if anyone is interested, take a look.
I will post the videos every Friday 12:00 CET (NY: 6:00 am / LA: 3:00 am).
I would be very happy if you like it.
The first video is about the "Fridaysdrive" from the 45th international 356 Meeting from Munich.
I would be very happy if you like it!

We also got registered, but have the same angst many have about future air travel to Europe. Lucretia is waiting for us at our flat in Traunkirchen (near Salzburg), and it's a beautiful drive from there across Switzerland into France. Hope to see you all there.

Actually, at the last Treffen overlooking Lake Lucern, we had the most fun with a bunch of nutty Brits!

I got the heads up that the tickets would sell out very quickly. I registered first thing in the morning when the booking form opened up. Looking forward to the trip although there is some concern as to what the landscape will look like next year if this covid thing does not die out.

We booked and paid and have kept the booking, in the hope that the Meeting will take place on the same dates this year (2021)
I did hear that the French Club were looking for other hotels near the Palais de Congress that they might book to enable more participants to enter, but have not heard any more details.
The contact I have is, Claude, on cdumaspilhou@gmail.com who seems to be the event coordinator.

We have also booked to attend the Porsche Parade Europe in Flims Switzerland from 25th to 28th June which includes a visit to the Swiss Mollis meeting and from there to Classic Le Mans, 2nd to 4th July. These are other meetings that have been re scheduled from 2020, lets hope they will take place?

Just heard from Claude a d it sounds as though it may be cancelled or postponed. I’m locked down in the U.K. and may be till April, so may pull out anyway despite losing half what I paid.
